Thermo oak
Similar to larch, oak is regarded as a problematic wood species, unsutable for drying and heat treatment. Most businesses don't thermally modify oak because it cracks and splits when the moisture content drops to critical levels.
Our patented technology allows oak to be heat-treated using Thermal Modification Kilns without cracking and warping. Rather than being reduced to zero, the moisture content of the output from the KIT series thermal kilns is left at 2-4% after being treated in the saturated steam environment.
Thermo-treated oak is superior to untreated wood in a number of ways:
Free from warping and cracking.
Resistant to external influences, temperature fluctuations, and high humidity.
Resistant to decay.
Has a rich color and beautiful texture.
